Mary Emmons Midwest Memory July 5, 2012

Teresa & family,

I worked for Midwest Foundation when it first started as Secretary/Bookkeeper.  I remember Art
as the nicest man.  He was so well thought of by everyone and was so respectful to me (the only
woman there).

I'm sure he will be missed by everyone.

Amy Johnson Memories on Paris June 30, 2012

One of my fondest memories of Grandpa and Grandma's house on Paris was playing "geologist" and "archaeologist" in the backyard. Sarah, Chris, Steph, Tim, and I would gather rocks from the landscaping in front of the house (and the neighbor's yard but don't tell), and then we'd use the abundance of tools in Grandpa's garage to crack them open looking for "treasure" and "fossils." Grandpa got such a kick out of us sitting on the back step at our "laboratory." The last time I was in the house on Paris, I spotted a rock sitting on one of the bookshelves. There was nothing special about it, and it looked as if it'd be beaten or crushed with a hammer. I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the "treasures" that we discovered in the back yard.

We'll miss you, Grandpa Art!

Dear Family,

Artie was so well loved by all who knew him.  He was my favorite.  After he retired he would come back to visit us and always brought something.  Coffee cake, candies...didn't matter.  He was a great guy and we will miss him terribly.
